About the role
Keefe HVAC is a residential and commercial HVAC company serving Chicagoland. We're looking for a motivated apprentice to learn the trade alongside our experienced technicians. No prior HVAC experience required — if you're dependable, willing to work hard, and eager to learn, we'll teach you the rest. This is a real career path: many of our lead techs started right here.
What you'll do
- Assist technicians with installations, repairs, and maintenance
- Learn to diagnose and service heating and cooling systems
- Help move, load, and set up equipment and tools
- Keep job sites and service vehicles clean and organized
- Build your skills across a range of hands-on tasks alongside experienced techs
- Learn to read job orders and communicate professionally with customers
- Grow into more responsibility as your skills develop
What we're looking for
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Reliable and punctual — you show up ready to work
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Basic mechanical aptitude
What we offer
- $18.00 - $24.00/hr with raises as you gain skills and certifications
- Paid, hands-on training toward becoming a full technician
